What do psychotherapy and counselling look like in times of the pandemic? How can proximity be established from afar? And how can digital technologies be used for emotionally engaged work on distance?
These are questions we want to discuss with Prof. Dr. Günter Schiepek, professor at the Department of Psychology at the LMU and director of the Institute of Synergetics and Psychotherapy Research at the Paracelsus Medical Private University in Salzburg.
The event will begin with an input by Prof. Dr. John Komlos, until his retirement in 2010 Professor of Economic History at the LMU, who also deals with a question of great social relevance: the covert racism in economics.
According to Komlos, conventional economic theory theorizes “about an Alice-in-Wonderland economy inhabited by supermen and superwomen who know everything about everything” – just one of several problematic assumptions.
Both inputs with subsequent discussion will take place as part of the interdisciplinary lecture series Diskurs C.0 (www.Diskurs-C0.com) – a project developed by LMU students in order to find solutions for pressing issues in the pandemic.
